YEIIS: YOUTH ENTREPRENEURSHIP INNOVATIVE INVESTMENT SCHEME
Entrepreneurship has become a fundamental aspect in promoting economic success, steadiness and wealth. The significance of entrepreneurship contributed immensely to reducing the extent of unemployment and thereby promoting opportunity employment opportunities among the youth especially University graduates. The development and economic stability of every nation has been shaped and curved by people who have taken their destinies in their own hands by perceiving opportunities and risking their own business. Hence Entrepreneurship can be described as a systematic process of identifying needs and satisfying those needs with creative thinking and vales with the aim of acquiring wealth and promoting the sense of self-reliance, self-determination, independence and life or personal satisfaction.
The survival of every society (developed or developing) is a dependent factor on the level of entrepreneurial ability undertaken. It has been deduced that country with less attention to entrepreneurship are likely to be surrounded with daunting problem of unemployment, poverty, oppression and undue exploitation from the owners of the means of production. This posited that unemployment problem which is on an alarming rate has become an atrocious phenomenon which has eaten deep into the fabrics of our economy. Research indicated that people who are commonly affected by the syndrome are the economically active population such as the youths particularly graduates from Tertiary institutions, and also people who are retrenched as a result of economic recession, and socio-cultural discrepancies.
As a consequence, Ebunlobinrin Foundation came on with an intervention strategy to rescue this economically active youths from these various sectors tagged ” Youth Entrepreneurship Innovative Investment Scheme” which aims at harnessing latent entrepreneurial spirit among the teaming youths. This is why Ebunlobinrin Foundation is craving the partnership of your institution in achieving this goal of financial sustainability for the Nigerian Youths through a one-day seminar to furnish them with development program encompassing financial literacy and methods of assessing various micro finance soft loan, provision of startup Investment loans and strategic repayment of the loans, maximizing profitability in various embarked business operations. This we find very pertinent in helping the youths find their feet and contribute positively to the economic pool of the country considering the colossal number of young unemployed graduates and the unplanned frustration ensuing from the non-availability of white-collar jobs.
