Grassroots Women Empowerment Scheme (GWES)
Ebunlobinrin Foundation GWES is instrument with which the Foundation empowers traders and market women with zero interest/collateral free micro loan. The scheme was launched in October 2012 and since then has been used to empower over 40,000 members. New members are still trooping in to enjoy the rear benefits in Ogun and Lagos State.
GWES is structured in such a way that beneficiaries form a group under the supersion of a coordinator. Each coordinator under an organised Ebunlobinrin GWES Coordinators’ forum supervises the running of GWES zero interest loans and report directly to the Chairman Executive Boards (State or General) of the Foundation.
GWES also prepares and runs Annual Skill Acquisition Seminars in numerous centers across the south-west part of Nigeria.
She admits less priviledges into her technical initiatives where participant are trained and certified on various vocations like automobile mechanics, woodworks, tailoring, barbing and hairmaking, computer appreciations and desktop publishing, Graphics, Driving of heavy and light duty vehicles, electrical and electronics, cobbling etc.
People – Men and Women, Young and Old are trained for free under this programs.
